------ Wollert, Jane (25 JUN 1966)

The marriage of Miss Jane Wollert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wollert of Colby, and Donald Meyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Meyer of Dorchester, took place Saturday June 25, at St. Louis Catholic church, Dorchester, with the Rev. Gerald Schuh officiating.

Attending the couple were Bonnie Strathman, Colby, maid of honor, a friend of the bride, and Larry Meyer, best man, a brother of the groom.  Other attendants were Mrs. Judy Underwood, Dorchester, sister of the groom, Wayne Underwood, brother-in-law of the groom, Dorchester, Mary Vorland, Colby, and Ken Christensen, Abbotsford, Joni Tesmer, Milwaukee, and Ken Chapman, Milan, all friends of the bridal couple.

The bride appeared in a floor length A-line empire gown of nylon organza and lace with a detached Watteau train.  The empire lace bodice was styled with a scalloped Sabrina neckline and long lace sleeves tapering to points over the wrists.  Border lace enhanced the skirt front and the chapel sweep train.  An exquisite organza wedding bell headpiece secured the bouffant veil of nylon illusion.

She carried a cascade style bouquet of red roses and white pompons.

The bridal attendants all wore floor length empire gowns of sea-spray green nylon chiffon and cluny lace over taffeta.  The lace empire bodices were accented by a bias satin band ending in back with bows and streamers.  The gowns were completed with batteau necklines, elbow length sleeves with ruffles and easy sheath chiffon skirts enhanced by detachable Watteau cluny lace panels flowing from a bow at the neckline.  Each of the headpieces were of matching sea-spray organza bow and dangle with four-tiered bouffant veils.

Their flowers were crescent shaped bouquets with yellow carnations and aqua pomps.

Organist Darleen Stab provided music during the ceremony.

Following the service, a reception was held at the Dorchester village hall, and supper was served at the St. Louis church hall.  A wedding dance was held in the evening at Memorial hall, Dorchester.  About 250 guests attended the affair.

The church was decorated with altar bouquets of yellow and white gladiolus, with roses and white pomps before the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Following a wedding trip to central and western United States, the couple will be at home at Dorchester where the groom is employed as a draftsman at Meyer Manufacturing Co.  The bride was employed as a secretary at Meyer’s Lumber Co.

Out of town guests attended from Milwaukee, Chicago, Cable, Park Falls, Medford, Owen, Marshfield, Wausau, Appleton, Holcombe, Spencer, Dale, Abbotsford and Curtiss.
