Hendrickson, Mr./Mrs. Mike (Gold – 14 OCT 1933)
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hendrickson observed their fiftieth anniversary of their
wedding at their home northeast of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), Sunday, Oct. 15,
1933.
Mr. Hendrickson was born in Swedish Finland in 1863. When he was 19 years of age
he went to Canada, where he remained for two years, and then came to Greenwood.
Her he met his wife, and on Oct. 14, 1883, he was united in marriage to Miss
Matilda Josephine Larsen. The officiating minister was Rev. Berntson.
Eight children were born to this union, seven are still living. They are Mrs.
Milo Krokson, Mrs. Olaf Johnson, Alfred Hendrickson, Mrs. Matilda Appleford,
Mrs. Alvin Johnson, Clarence Hendrickson and Mrs. Lillian Hanson.
More than 100 guests partook of the splendid dinner arranged for the occasion,
and Rev. M.K> Aaberg and Elmer Johnson gave talks. Mr. and Mrs. Hendrickson
received many beautiful and useful gifts, as well as a purse of money.
Our many readers join the Gleaner in extending congratulations and hope Mr. and
Mrs. Hendrickson will remain well and enjoy many more years of wedded life.
