Folstad, Jane Ann (Marriage - 26 August1972)

The Rev. Joseph B. Marx officiated at the marriage of Miss Jane Ann Folstad and Leonard Gutowski, Saturday afternoon, August 26 at Holy Family Catholic church at Stanley. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Folstad of Stanley and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Gutowski of Rt. 3, Stanley.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride approached the altar in a Juliet style gown of rayon organza and venise lace framed by a bouffant veil held by a head piece of matching lace and seed pearls. Her bouquet was made up of pink orchids, miniature carnations and stephanotis.

Mary Folstad, sister-in-law of the bride, was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Ann Lechleitner, friend of the bride, and Kaye Gutowski, sister of the groom. Their fern green crepe gowns were accented by arrangements of white carnations, green-tinted stephanotis and baby’s breath.

Severyn served as bestman. Groomsmen were Joseph Benzschawel and James Folstad. John Folstad and Charles Gutowski acted as ushers.

The Men’s Choir of the church provided nuptial music. A Reception for 300 guests was held at the Quonset Hall in Thorp.

The newlyweds are making their home on Rt. 1 Thorp following their return from a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and Minnesota. The new Mrs. Gutowski is employed in Thorp and her husband is engaged in farming.
