Davis, Ardella (9 APR 1966)

On Saturday afternoon, April 9, 1966, the wedding of Miss Ardella Davis, daughter of Mrs. Truman K. Davis, and the late Mr. Davis of Lincoln, Neb., and Gerald R. Boardman of Menomonie, Wis., son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Boardman of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), took place at Christ Lutheran Church. The 4 o'clock ceremony was solemnized by the Rev. Charles Reimnitz, and the wedding music was played by Miss Patricia Snavely. Mrs. Robert Mills and Lowell Hagen were the vocal soloists.

Long skirted frocks of peau de soie in the powder blue shade, were chose for the attendants, including Mrs. Gary Ossenkop, the matron of honor; Mrs. James Huh of Watertown, Wis., the brides matron, and Miss Clovis Newell, the bridesmaid. Each carried a long-stemmed white carnation tied with white ribbon.

Richard Boardman of Thorp, Wis. served as best man, and groomsmen were Russell Boardman and Jerry Boardman, both of Thorp, Wis. The ushers were Richard Tangeman of Lincoln, Neb., and Randy Boardman of Thorp, Wis.

The gown worn by the bride was fashioned of Italian silk organza. The sculpture bodice was designed with a petal neckline and long sleeves, and tulle inserts in a rose motif patterned the wide skirt which extended into a chapel train. A circlet of peau de soie, ornamented with silk organza roses, held to the head her full length veil, and she carried an Empire bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley.

Mr. Boardman and his bride will reside in Menomonie, Wis., where the bride-groom is a member of the faculty of Stout State University.
