Theirl, Terry (Marriage - 9 June 1972)

Robert E. Cattanach, Sr., of Neillsville served as bestman when the Cattanachs’ son, Ensign Robert E. Cattanach, Jr., and Miss Terry Theirl , the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward C. Theirl of Stanley, were married June 9. Captain John McMillan, Navy Chaplin, performed the 11 o’clock ceremony in the Naval Academy Chapel, Annapolis, Md.

Attending her sister as maid of honor was Miss Pamela Theirl. The bride’s cousins, Miss Barbara Theirl of Stanley and Miss Nancy Theirl of Sparta, were her bridesmaids.

Douglas Cattanach, Eau Claire, served his brother as groomsman. Other groomsmen were Ensign Peter Brown and Ensign Stephen Frederick, both of Annapolis, Md.

Before leaving o n a wedding trip along the east coast, the newlyweds greeted guests at a reception held at the commissioned officers club. They will reside in London, England, until August 16.

The bride and groom are both graduates of Stanley-Boyd High School. The new Mrs. Cattanach graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and is a first grade teacher. Her husband attended Marquette University and graduated from the U. S. Naval Academy. He will be a student at the Law School at the University of Wisconsin.
