Buchholz, Daniel (28 Jan 1886 - 22 Oct 968)

Daniel L. Buchholz, 82, route 2, Loyal, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 22 at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville of complications following surgery.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church. Rev. Conrad Mickelson officiated and burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.

The Myre Funeral Home was in chargeof all the arrangements.

Mr. Buchholz was born on January 28, 1886 in Wilton, Monroe County. On June 26, 192 he married Sarah Bredlow at Ontario. He attended area schools and a short course in buttermaking at the University of Wisconsin. He was employed at various creameries in the Wilton area then in 1920 went imto farming. In 1924 moved to a farm north east of Loyal where he resided until his death.

Pallbearers were Harlan Berg, Albert Walter, Roman Walter, William Kleinschmidt, Harry Meinhardt and Henry Ayumann.

Mrs. Ruth Zepplin was the organist and William Chambers the soloist. He sang "Nearer My God To Thee" and "Where He Lead Me."

Mr. Buchholz was a member of the United Methodist Church and a former member of the Dodgeville School Board.

Besides his wife he is survived by 2 daughters, Miss Arlene Buchholz at home and Mrs. Clarence (Vera) Meinhardt, Greenwood; a grandson; and one brother, Philip, Wilton.

He was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy; six brothers and sisters.
