Judnic, Clarence E. (8 APR 1927 - 18 JUN 2014)

Clarence E. Judnic, 87, Medford, died on Wednesday, June 18 at Aspirus Care and Rehab in Medford, where he had resided the past month.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 21 at 1:30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joseph Stefancin officiating, and full military rites performed by the Medford Area Military Honors Team. Interment will be at St. Ann's Cemetery in the town of Greenwood. Pallbearers are his grandchildren, Jason, Cody and Amanda Judnic, Nathan Gebert, Jennifer Winterhack and Travis Noland.

Visitation will be held at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford on Friday, June 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and on Saturday from 12 to 1:15 p.m.

Clarence Judnic was born on April 8, 1927 in the town of Greenwood to the late Joseph and Mary (Mauser) Judnic. He attended Buddy School in the town of Greenwood. He helped on his parents' farm, then worked for Rural Electric. He was drafted into the United States Army and served from January 1949 to December 1949.

On September 30, 1950 at St. Ann's in the town of Greenwood, he married Marcella Louise Imbach, who survives. He worked for Harold Christensen in Abbotsford for about two years, then owned and operated a dairy farm in the town of Greenwood for 40 years until his retirement. After retiring, he moved to Medford in 1991.

He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a past member of St. John's the Baptist Church, St. Ann's Catholic Church and Rib Lake Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed reading, watching football and being with his family.

In addition to his wife, survivors include five sons, Mike of Rib Lake, James (Deb) of Whittlesey, Robert of Farmington, Minn., Tom (Carol) of Medford and Gary (Cheryl) of Spencer; two daughters, Mary (Dennis) Gebert and Audrey (Pat) Noland, both of Medford; a son-in-law, Bob Gebert; five siblings, Angeline Strebig of Medford, Rose Schilling of Chicago, Ill., Betty Imbach of Whittlesey, Lester (Marilyn) Judnic of Merrill and Harvey (Arlene) Judnic of Rib Lake; a sister-in-law, Ruth Judnic of Medford; 15 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia "Pat" Gebert in 2008; and four siblings, Joe and Carl Judnic, Mary Nezval and one sister in infancy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Holy Rosary Catholic parish for future masses.
