Nemitz, Valerie Arlene (Marriage - 15 July 1972)

Miss Valerie Arlene Nemitz became the bride of Warren William Kinnick Saturday, July 15, in a 2 p.m. double-ring ceremony performed at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church by the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff. A wedding dinner was served at St. John’s Lutheran school was followed by a reception at the Hacienda. Over 200 guests were present.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nemitz of Rt. 2 Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kinnick of Rt. 1 Neillsville.

The bride wore an Empire-style gown of imported organza fashioned with Juliet sleeves and a high neckline as she was given in marriage by her father. Venise lace embellished the A-line silhouette highlighted by a sweeping cathedral train. Her bouffant veil of sheer bridal illusion was secured by a lace Camelot headpiece. She carried a bouquet of white carnations with an accent of lavender.

Miss Linda Gregory, Racine, was the maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Barbara Kinnick and Mrs. Linda Marek. Their gowns of lavender dotted Swiss were complimented by bouquets of lavender daisies.

Carl Nemitz, Jr., served as bestman. Groomsmen were Neil Otterbacher, Waukegan, Il., and David Marek. Ushering duties were shared by Alan Otterbacher, Geneva, N. Y. and Melvin Nemitz. Dennis Kinnick was the ringbearer and Wanda Kinnick was the flower girl. Soloist Edward Schoenherr sang “O Perfect Love” and “The Twenty-third Psalm” . Victor Lehmann was the organist.

Both the bride and groom are graduates of Neillsville High school and members of the Circle 8 square dance group. He also graduated from Kenosha Technical Institute.

Following their return from a wedding rip through Wisconsin, the newlyweds will make their home August 1 in Kenosha, where the groom is employed as an automotive technician.
