Mr. and Mrs. Francis Wiese of Abbotsford celebrated their silver wedding anniversary at their home during the past week end.

Francis Wiese and the former Mary Kittel were married at Holy Rosary Catholic church, Medford, July 27, 1940.  They farmed on the former Frank Wiese farm, north of Abbotsford on highway 13, the first years of their marriage and for the past 18 years Mr. Wiese has been employed by the Christensen Sales Corp. of Abbotsford and is presently engaged as a carpenter for the firm.

The Wieses have five children, Michael, Audrey and Dean, at home, Mrs. Carlton (Loretta) Pecher, Abbotsford and Mrs. David (Jaunita) Krug, rural Owen.  They have two grand daughters and two grand sons.

With them for the celebration Saturday evening were all of their children and their two sons-in-law, Carlton Pecher and David Krug, Mr. Wiese’s father, Frank Wiese, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Christensen and Carol, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fisher, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Meske, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Strade, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pecher, Mr. and Mrs. William Steinke, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Scheel, Mrs. Norma Grambort, Mrs. James Lamont, Mrs. Andrew Ruzeck and Miss Shirley Schuette, all of Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Nacker, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Krueger and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Mohan, rural Colby, Mr. and Mrs. La Von Chapman, Milan, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Marthaler and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Marthaler, rural Medford, and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Meske, Mr. and Mrs. Bror Erickson, rural Curtiss.

Guests with them on Sunday afternoon were Mr. and Mrs. Kurt Bartz and four sons, Merrill, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Calmes and family, rural Athens, and their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Augustine, and family, of Kenosha.
