The local Opera House has recently undergone extensive improvements and a new machine has been installed for talking pictures. The new machine is known as the Ultraphone and it works perfectly.

The first talkie was shown here Saturday and Sunday, and although announcement in regard to the show was not made until Thursday, hundreds of people were in attendance, and greatly enjoyed the splendid program which Mr. Hiles arranged.
