Rogalsky, Amanda (16 November 1902 - 17 April 1972)

Funeral services for Mrs. Alex (Amanda) Rogalsky, 69, of Neillsville, who died April 17, are to be held today (Thursday) at 10:30 a.m. from St. John’s Lutheran Church in Phillips. The Rev. Frederick Lueders will officiate and burial will be made in the Lakeside Cemetery at Phillips. The body of Mrs. Rogalsky was in state at the Lake Funeral Home in Phillips. The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements here.

Mrs. Rogalsky, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Schmidt, was born November 16, 1902, at Phillips and was educated there. She worked in Kenosha and Racine as a young woman. Her marriage to Edward Kudrna took place at Phillips. Mr. Kudrna died in 1934. His widow was married to Alex Rogalsky at Medford in 1938. Mrs. Rogalsky came to Neillsville to live in October of 1971.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include five children, Edward Kudrna, Mrs. Wayne (Donna) Graul and Don and John Rogalsky, all of Racine, and Mrs. Gerald (Joan) Makie of Neillsville; a sister, Mrs. Gust (Mary) Fleitner of Phillips; six brothers: Edwin and Max Schmidt of Phillips, Frank Schmidt of Longmont, Co, William Schmidt of Tomah, George Schmidt of Kenosha and Andrew Schmidt of Tamarack, Mn; and 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
