Miss Bertha Atkins of Stevens Point is visiting at the McMahon home.
Mrs. Ida Thompson left yesterday for Gran Meadow, Minn., where she will make her
future home.

Greenwood, Wis., R.R. No. 4.
Dan Miller of Omro, Wis. is visiting at the Frank Drake and Fred Huntzicker
homes.
Ralph Weidman and family returned to their home at Ableman, Wis. Monday, after
spending several weeks ehre with relatives and friends.
Jerald Syth and Leonard Johnson left yesterday for La Crosse where they will
visit.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Robb and family and Mrs. Joe Robb of Blanchardville, and Mr.
and Mrs. Rudy Lemberg of Arping spent Sunday at the Arthur Engebretson home.
Miss Eva Mayer of Highland, Wis. arrived here last week for a visit at the home
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Mayer on the old Fred Bush farm.
Mrs. Ben Andrews of Knoxville, Iowa is visiting at the Erastus Bowen home.
The "overall girls" have been enjoying a week of camping on Black River.
Jack Moberg, who has been playing ball out west this summer, arrived home
Tuesday.
W.H. Smith went to Eau Claire Sunday on a few days business.
Miss Velma Goss came up from Vesper Friday for a visit with friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Foster of Fairchild spent the latter part of last week with
friends in this city.
Miss Ethel Gardlund of Chicago arrived last week for a visit at the Arthur
Engebretson hom.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Stabnow went to Loyal last Thursday from where Harold went
up north to spend a week at fishing. Mrs. Stabnow and children are visiting
relatives at Loyal.
Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Wescott and Mrs. T. Fahey autoed to Chippewa Falls last
Thursday for a visit with Mrs. Zetsche, who is at the hospital there. The report
is Mrs. Zetsche is getting along nicely.
The R.N.A. had a picnic at Camp Comfort last Wednesday afternoon. A large number
were in attendance and a most enjoyable time was had by all.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Neff of Neillsville spent Sunday at the Joe Christie home.
Mrs. Hemp returned to Neillsville with them, where she will spend the week.
Mrs. Bock of St. Paul, Minn. Is visiting relatives and friends at the Arends and
Behrens homes.
Ed Fahey returned from his fishing trip up north with a nice string of fish.
Ole Hansen and family of Armstrong, Iowa arrived here by auto last Friday for a
visit at the home of his brother-in-law, Hans Nelson, northeast of this city.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert George of Almond, Wis. spent a few days of last week at the
Lee Wallis and L.E. Rees homes.
Miss Bessie Wolhaupt arrived here from Antigo Saturday for a visit at the Volk
homes.
Ralph Meek went to Stevens Point last Thursday on business.
Miss Mary Richmond returned from Neillsville Saturday where she spent several
days at the home of her brother.
Mrs. H.J. Thomas will entertain the Ladies Aid Society at the home of Erastus
Bowen, Friday afternoon, Aug. 27th. A good attendance is desired, as the
officers of the coming year will be elected.
Mrs. Estella Coan and Mrs. E.L. Ketchpaw and children went to Fairchild to visit
friends and relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jacques and children of Neillsville visited at the A. McCormick
home last week.
Mr. and Mrs. John C. Engebretson of Northfield, Ohio arrived in Greenwood last
Thursday for an extended visit at the home of the latter's parents, mr. and Mrs.
J.A. Sheets.
Roy Masters autoed over from Marshfield Friday to visit his parents, mr. and
Mrs. R.A. Masters.
Mrs. C.H. Thompson of Chippewa Falls is visiting at the home of Mrs. Jacob Volk.
Mrs. Ralph Mulligan and sons of Marshfield are visiting at the home of her
mother, Mrs. H. Baird.
Jack Robinson, the genial clerk at the Big Store, returned from a week's visit
with relatives and friends at Necedah on Tuesday.
Miss Amy Colby arrived ehre last week for a visit at the A.S. Armstrong home.
Miss Virginia Darling of Neillsville was an over Sunday visitor here with Miss
Bernice Smith.
Miss Edna Hogue went to Colby last week where she will be employed and where her
mother has been for several weeks.
