Freimund, Otto W. (2 MAY 1886 - 23 AUG 1966)

Otto W. Freimund, 80, 427 E. Main St., Plymouth, Wis., passed away unexpectedly at his home Tuesday morning, Aug. 23, 1966 of an apparent heart attack.

Mr. Freimund was born May 2, 1886 at Stevens Point, wis., a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christ Freimund. He attended school in Sheboygan one year, and then the Eastman District School in the town of Plymouth. He married Theresa Heinig March 20, 1909. She preceded him in death on Feb. 26, 1958.

Mr. Freimund was a cheesemaker, operating the Edler Factory in Plymouth, and factories at Waldo and Cedar Creek before moving to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1913, where he owned and operated a cheese factory for 20 years. He went back to Plymouth in 1934, and was employed as supervisor with the Lakeshire Cheese Co. (Borden's) for 19 years before retiring. He operated the Freimund Lunch Stand in Plymouth for 12 summers, until 1965.

Survivors are one son, Glenweye of Plymouth; one sister, Mrs. Clara Reinboldt, Kiel; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, one daughter, parents, five sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services were held at two p.m. Friday, Aug. 26th at Salem United Church of Christ, Plymouth, the Rev. Lowell Ferguson, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial was in Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery. Cassia Lodge No. 167 F & AM held memorial services at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
