Powers, Mardell "Del" (? - 19 DEC 2013)


Mardell "Del" Johnson Powers (nee Neuman), passed peacefully into eternal life with her children by her side on December 19, 2013. She was predeceased by her parents; Rilay and Martha (nee Lube) Neuman of Colby, Wisconsin and her former husband and life long friend, Martin "Johnny" Johnson. Del is survived by her children, Tracy (Patty), Bradly (Janet), Stanley (Kay Heinitz), Melany "Loni" (Tom Stolper). Also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Heather Grieb, David Sorge, Dylan Rapp-Stolper, Peter and Kelli Johnson, as well as many dear cousins and friends. Del moved from the Colby area, to the Milwaukee area in 1949, when first married and raised her family in Sussex. She was the bookkeeper for the family business, Sussex Auto, and ran her Amway business for over 30 years. She helped plant a church in Sussex and taught Sunday School for many years.

A celebration of Del's life will be held on April 12, 2014, at St Johns Lutheran Church in Riplinger, WI at 2 p.m., and final disposition at the Church Cemetery at 4 p.m.. Memorials to St Johns Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
