Truax, Constance (20 FEB 1946)

On Wednesday, February 20, 1946, at 1:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Manse, Marshfield, Miss Constance Truax, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James McConnell Sr. of Greenwood, became the bride of Joseph Bizjak of Willard.  Rev. Arthur R. Oates, officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride was attired in an aqua wool, princess style frock with buttons down the front from the neckline to the hem and little fuci colored arrows, appliqué on the gown and a small brown hat with veil. Her corsage was composed of red roses and foxglove on a background of ostrich feathers.

Miss Mae Johnson of Greenwood, as maid of honor, wore a light blue jersey dress with pleated skirt and bracelet length sleeves and a matching hat of soutache braid and a veil.  Her bouquet was of yellow daffodils and roses tied with a brown ribbon.

The groom was attended by Allen Truax, brother of the bride.

A dinner was served at the home of the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. T.E. McCoy at Marshfield after which the young couple left on a wedding trip to Appleton and Milwaukee and on their return will be at home to their many friends on the groom’s farm near Willard.

The bride was a graduate of the Greenwood High School with the class of 1944 and was employed in Marshfield before her marriage.
