Foster, Judith “Judy” (Fike) (2 NOV 1943 - 4 MAR 2014)

Judith “Judy” Foster, age 70, of Fall Creek, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Oakwood Villa Nursing Home in Altoona with her husband by her side.

Judy was born November 2, 1943, in Reedsburg. She attended school at Adams-Friendship and graduated from Colby, where her father also ran a jewelry store. She worked in Milwaukee and Kenosha. On February 7, 1970, she married Dennis Foster in Kenosha. She and her husband moved to Eau Claire in 1972 and lived there until 1985. They then moved to Fall Creek where they continued to reside. She was a homemaker and secretary for her husband’s business for 30+ years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, playing cards with her husband, hunting and fishing. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis Foster; her father, Norbert Fike; sisters, Sharon (Mark) Weinand and Jean Fike; brothers, Gary Fike and Greg Fike; daughters, Jennifer (Brent) Steinke and Joan (Terry) Nichols; brother-in-law, Richard (Leslie) Foster; step-brother-in-law, Eugene Derfus; granddaughters, Isabella, Rheanna, Katelyn and Emmalee; grandsons, Evan, Ethan and Brennan; and two nephews, Jake and David.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Fike.

A Mass and a celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014, at St. Mary’s Church, 1812 Lynn Ave., Altoona, with Father Derek Sakowski officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Private family burial will be at a later date.
