Miss Paula Kay Davel, 3209 W. Wisconsin Ave. Milwaukee and Mr. Dale Andrew Maki, West Allis, exchanged wedding vows at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church Loyal with The Very Rev. Father Norbert E. King officiating on Saturday, October 28.

Mrs. Edward M. Trunka was the organist and St. Anthony’s schhol choir under the direction of Sister Johnetta sang.

Altar bouquets of yellow, gold and bronze chrysanthemums adorned the altar and a bouquet of yeppow roses for the Blessed Virgin Virgin Altar.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Paul A. Davel, Loyal; and Mr. and Mrs. Arnie O. Maki, West Allis.

The bride given in marriage by her father choose a white satin gown, with re-embroidered alengon lace appliqués which adorned the empire bodice and elbow length sleeves and was repeated as a wide band above the hemline of the “A” line skirt with a detachable chapel length train and scattered alengon lace insertion motifs and was finished with two wide bands of lace insertions at it’s base. Custom made lace covered the open crown pillbox with a elbow length three tier English silk illusion veil. Her bouquet was a traditional cascade of phalaenopsis orchids and bourvardia with natural foliage.

Mrs. Ronald Lawson, Milwaukee, was the matron of honor; with Miss Elizabeth Sustman and Mrs. Lois Hartl, Milwaukee, as the bridesmaids.

The aides were seen in floor length gold satin “A” line skirts with empire bodices capped by velvet jackets in a deeper shade of gold with satin portrait collars, and elbow portrait collars, and elbow length sleeves. They wore crown pillbox hats of gold velvet and carried sheath cascade arrangements of bronze daisy, chrysanthemums and yellow pompom with accents of salad leaves.

Miss Dana Davel was the flower girl and was dresses the same as the aides. She carried a small wicker basket with yellow and bronze pompoms.

Mr. Gerald Artl, Milwaukee, served the groom as best amn and the groomsmen were Peter Davel, Whitewater and Ronald Lawson, Milwaukee, Paul Kauppinsen, Milwaukee and Scott Davel, Loyal, performed a the ushering duties.

Wedding day events included a reception and buffet supper held at Langfeldt’s Supper Club at Loyal.

The bride is a 1963 graduate of Loyal High School and attended Eau Claire State University and joined Ri Sigma Sorority. She is employed as a teller at the Bank of Milwaukee and Trust Co., Milwaukee. The groom graduated from South Division High School, 1963, attended Milwaukee Business Schoo; and served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. He is in programming at the accounting firm of Fonteine and McCurdy Co., Milwaukee.

After a wedding trip through the western states the couple will make their home at 1603 West Ohio Street, Milwaukee.
