Kuehn, Ferdinand #3 (28 JUL 1862 - 19 JUN 1942)

Ferdinand Kuehn, was born in Lomira, July 28,1862, and was married there to Miss Maria Scheidt on November 14, 1888. Three children were born to this union; Hubert and John and Mrs. Adolph (Catherine) Geisler, all of Greenwood.

The family came to this community in the fall of 1891 and Mrs. Kuehn passed away on November 26, 1900.

On June 12, 1901, Mr. Kuehn was married to Miss Maria Siems at Neillsville. She passed away about six years ago. One son Helmuth was born to this union. He resides in Neillsville.

Mr. Kuehn passed away at the Neillsville Hospital at 7 o’clock Friday evening June 19, 1942 of complications resulting from a stroke suffered last November, followed by another in March. He had been at the hospital about a week.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, June 23, at 1:30 from the home of his son Hubert and at 2 o’clock from the West Side Reformed Church. Rev. P.H. Franzmeier officiated and he was laid to rest in the church cemetery.

He is survived by three sons and on daughter, 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, a brother Rudolph of Huron S. Dak.; and a sister Mrs. Bertha Wolfgran of Antigo.

The pallbearers were August Schwarze, Theo Humke, Ferdinand Decker, Wm. Miller, Albert Miller and Ed Schwarze.

Out of town relatives were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kuehn, Mayville; Mr. and Mrs. Gus Loehrke, Thressia; Mr. and Mrs. John Hughes and daughter Lillian of Deer Park, Wis.; Mrs. Jacob Scheid, Campblesport; Mrs. Helmuth Siems and family Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Seidleman and son Romaine, Loyal.
