Wood, Rex Lee (13 April 1939 - 8 November 2013) With Flag

Rex Lee Wood, 74, of Spence and formerly of Tomah and Merrillan passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2013. He was born April 13, 1939, to James and Hazel (Cope) Wood in Twin Falls, ID. Rex served in the United States Army for over 20 years until his retirement. He was united in marriage to Amy (Stolzman) Plummer May 27, 2010, in Illinois. Rex loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Amy Plummer; his children, Laura (Sonny) Prewitt of Granton, Dianna (Bob) Wood of Granton and Carla (Jon Henaman) Wood of Spencer; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Patty) Wood of Lewiston, ID, and Bob (Bobbi) Wood of Hazelton, ID; sisters, Beth Rowe of California and Judy (Keith) Owen of Kimberley, ID; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Hazel; his wife, Jean Wood; grandson Matthew A. Wood; and great-grandson Tristan L. Farley.

A graveside service with full military honors was held Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at 12 p.m. at the Oakwood Cemetery, Merrillan. Pastor Art Scottberg officiated.
