Hohl, Nancy (16 AUG 1953)

Miss Nancy Hohl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Hohl, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Pvt. Donald A. Ellingson, San Francisco, Calif., son of Mrs. E.H. Ellingson, Greenwood, at an 8:00 p.m. candlelight service performed at the Grace Methodist Church on Sunday, Aug. 16, 1953. The Rev. Arthur Riley, pastor of the church, officiated before an altar decorated with tapers and garden flowers.

Before the service Mrs. Everett Humke sang "O Perfect Love" and during the service she sang "The Lord's Prayer."

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white nylon, floor length gown with ruffled skirt over satin and pointed sleeves. Her fingertip veil fell from a Juliet Cap and she carried a white prayer book on the cover of which was fastened red roses.

Miss Carol Drew, as maid of honor, wore a yellow net over taffeta with a lace bodice and matching headdress. She wore a wrist corsage.

The groom was attended by his brother, James Ellingson, as best man, Everett Ellingson, another brother, and Robert Bartelt, brother-in-law of the bride, were ushers.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church parlors for 200 guests. The room was decorated with garden flowers and a beautiful wedding cake centered the bride's table.

The bride is a graduate of the Greenwood High School with the class of 1952. The groom is also a graduate of the Greenwood High School with the class of 1951, and recently graduated as a Military Policeman for the army in California.

Guests from away who attended the wedding were from Strum, Eau Claire, Two Rivers, Wis. Rapids, Champaign, Ill., and Mauston.
