Kansora, August J. (3 DEC 1874 - 15 MAY 1953)

August J. Kansora, 78, Jefferson, died at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 15, 1953 at the home of his sister, Mrs. Agnes Keough, R. 3, Wis. Rapids, with whom he had made his home the past six weeks. He had been in poor health the past three months.

Funeral services were held at 9:00 a.m. Monday, May 18 at St. Lawrence Church at Jefferson, with the Rev. Father Fischer officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Mr. Kansora was born in Germany on Dec. 3, 1874, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kansora. He came to the United States with his parents at the age of 15, the family settling in Milwaukee. He married Julia Barrett of Wis. Rapids 50 years ago.

Survivors include three children, Esther Marie, Lawrence and Ellsworth, on brother, Paul in California; three sisters, Mrs. Ann Patek, Morton Grove, Ill.; Mrs. Lillie Zulkowski, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Agnes Keough, Wis. Rapids, R. 3.

Mr. Kansora and family at one time lived four miles north and one mile east of Hemlock (Clark Co., Wis.), across from the Alex Behrens farm.
