Amundson, Orlando J. (1880? - 24 JAN 1953)

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Ha. 27 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church for Orlando Justin Amundson, 72, who died on Saturday, Jan. 24, 1953 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, and was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery. The Rev. M.S. Egge officiated.

During the service the senior choir sand "Abie with Me" and "Just as I am," accompanied by Mrs. Don Warner at the organ.

The pallbearers were: H.R. Baird, Wm. C. Steiger, Tom Erickson, Edwin Hegenbarth, Russell Mead and E.L. Mlada.

Mr. Amundson is survived by his wife, one son, Gordon of Emerald, two daughters, Mrs. A.S. (Bernice) Rushka and Mrs. Robert (Lura) Funke of New Holstein; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Bernal (Lorraine) Lang, New Holstein; seven grandchildren and two brothers, John of Spokane, Wash., and Elmer. One brother preceded him in death.

Rushka, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Funke, son Tommy and daughter Nancy, Mr. and Mrs. Bernal Lang and children Joanne and John, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Amundson and daughters, Angeline, Bernice and Mary Ellen, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Olson, Emerald; Miss Charlotte Dusso, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. John Strike, La Crosse; Mr. and Mrs. Odell Evenson, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Evenson, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Evenson, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Engen and Mrs. Dina Dusso, Galesville; Mrs. Nettie Wintjen and Sam Amundson, Melrose; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Harils, Withee; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Frantz, Woodville; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bonte, Mr. and Mrs. John Olson, Alfred Olson and Maurice Olson, Glenwood City; Mr. and Mrs. Sigrud Olson, Deer Park; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Praschak, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dunbar, Emerald; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin, Lange, Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Tony Rupnick, Black River Falls.
