Celesnik, Fleminia (4 MAY 1882 - 19 NOV 1952)

Mrs. Gregor Celesnik, nee Flemina Zancon, daughter of Angelo & Marie (Moldine) Zancon, was born on May 4, 1882 at Vincennes Kertaro, Italy. She was married to Gregor Celesnik on Oct. 7, 1899 in Brazil.

They resided in Brazil for a time and then went back to Europe. In 1905 they came to the United States. For a while they lived in Ely, Minn., later going to Waukegan, where they lived until coming to Willard (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1912. They moved to Greenwood in 1948.

Mrs. Celesnik passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield at 8:15 p.m. on Nov. 19, 1952. She had been taken to the hospital on Sunday, Nov. 16th. Mrs. Celesnik suffered a stroke in 1941 and has not been in good health since that time.

A requiem Mass was read at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nov, 22, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. The Rev. Father Edward Hartung officiated. She was laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery.

The pallbearers were her four sons and two grandsons.

She is survived bh her husband and nine children: Frank, Waukegan, Ill.; John, Willard; Mrs. Vandy (Mary) Suda, Marshfield; Mrs. Ed (Jennie) Langfeldt, Racine; Mrs. Vernon (Anne) Pastall, Waukegan, Ill.; Peter, Cadott; Mrs. Joe (Amelia) Musich, Waukegan, Ill.; Tony, Milwaukee; Mrs. Kenneth (Frances) Horn, Willard; 27 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
