The following helped celebrate David Pernic’s birthday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Horn, Sr.: Mr. and Mrs. John Pernic, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Bert McKenna of Arlington Heights, Ill., Mr. and mr. Ken Horn, Jr., and Gregor, and Mr. and Mrs. Ken Horn, Sr. The birthday cake was made by David’s mother, Mrs. Robert Pernic of Williams Bay. A lunch and refreshments were served and the rest of the day was spent socially.

Donna Petkovsek and Richard Dickman of Clear Lake, Ill., spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Petkovsek and family.

The Slovenian Women’s union members are planning on attending their convention which will be held on October 3, in Sheboygan. The members are looking for riders on a bus and on-members are welcome, too. If interested, contact Mrs. Ludwig Artac.

Mrs. Jenny Artac and a friend of Milwaukee visited here with Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Artac and family and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Artac and family, and with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Artac.

William and Mary Govek of Eau Claire spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Govek and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bayuk of Joliet, Ill., visited relatives and friends here last weekend.

Edward Ule of Minneapolis, Minn., spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hribar and Mr and Mrs. Clayton Braun in Greenwood.

Mr and Mrs. Joseph Tolaney, Sr., of Greenwood spent Monday at the john and Anne Champa home.

Misses Emily and Amy Morgal recently attended the funeral in Sheboygan of a relative, Frank Seja, 73, who died from a heart attack. Mr. Seja was well known here, having visited here quite frequently.

Mr. and Mrs. Allen Winecke and three children of LeMont, Ill., spent the weekend with Mrs. Louise Bukovec, Mrs. Mary Roznik, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bukovec, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bukovec and Mr. and Mrs. Sylvain Krultz and family.

John and Joe Stremikis left last Monay for Madison where they attend the University.
