Kearney, Katherine (27 Jun 1916)

On Tuesday evening at 8 o’clock the marriage of Miss Katherine Kearney and William Hemp was solemnized by Rev. Brandt at the Lutheran parsonage. The couple were attended by Walter Tragsdorf and Miss Mary Kearney and at the conclusion of the ceremony the happy couple left by auto for Granton where they took the midnight train for a brief wedding trip. The bride wore a green travelling suit and Miss Mary Kearney wore a black travelling suit.

The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Johanna Kearney and is a young lady whose temperament and womanly qualities will make her an ideal helpmate. She was an employee of the Big Store in the capacity of cashier for some time where her pleasing manner and sunny disposition made her a general favorite. Mr. Hemp is also an employee of the Big Store, serving efficiently in the clothing department. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hemp, a young man of excellent morals and integrity and has the full confidence of his employers and his many friends. At the conclusion of their wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Hemp will take up housekeeping in the home the groom already has prepared on Court Street, having recently bought the L.G. Masters place there and they will start out in life with the best wishes of a host of friends for their future welfare and happiness.
