Woodford, Raymond Lee (4 September 1906 - 24 July 1971)

Funeral services for Raymond Lee Woodford, 64, of Neillsville, who died July 24, are to be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Georgas Funeral home. The Rev. Ralph Walker of Augusta will officiate and burial will be in the Mentor Cemetery.

Raymond Woodford, the son of George and Carrie (Phillips) Woodford, was born September 4, 1906, in Humbird, and received his education in that area. He farmed for a time and then moved to Green Bay where he worked in the shipyards in in 1940. Mr. Woodford also worked in Michigan and in Milwaukee before retiring and returning to Clark County, where he lived in Neillsville for approximately the last year.

Survivors include 11 children: Mrs. Betty Nier of Green Bay, Mrs. Warren (Norma) Wagner of Green Leaf, Mrs. Gloria Johnson of Milwaukee, Lyle Woodford of Chester, Calif., Earl Woodford of Green Bay, Richard Woodford of Milwaukee, Mrs. Irene Horn and Bonnie, Patrick, Mike and Dale Woodford, all of St. Ignace, Mich.; four sisters, Mrs. Jake (Gladys) Lightfoot of Humbird, Mrs. Emil (Della) Schara of Wisconsin Rapids, Mrs. Melvin (Rilla) Walker of Humbird, and Mrs. Orville (Hazel) Creviston of Campton, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
