Blum, Kathleen M. (Marriage - 19 June 1971)

Miss Kathleen M. Blum became the bride of Russell E. King Saturday afternoon, June 19, in a double-ring ceremony at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Withee. Pastor Luetkehoelter officiated before an altar decorated with bouquets of red roses. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Blum of Rt. 3 Greenwood are the bride’s parents. The groom is the son of Mrs. Lorraine King of Rt. 2 Withee.

The bride wore a white empire style gown styled with a lace bodice and lace sleeves and a satin skirt with a lace and sequin-trimmed train as she was given in marriage by her father. Her veil was held by a poinsettia-shaped headpiece. She carried a bouquet of long-stemmed red and white carnations.

Matron-of-honor Mrs. Warren Rinehart was attired in a sleeveless, white lace A-line gown trimmed with red velvet ribbon. Her flowers were long-stemmed red carnations.

PFC Richard King served as bestman. Ushers were Randy King, Allan Blum, Eugene Blum, and Richard Blum.

Judy Priebbernow was the organist.

A wedding reception for 50 guests was held in the Nazareth parish hall, decorated for the occasion with red roses, red table streamers and white bells.

The bride is a 1970 graduate of Owen-Withee High School. Her husband, a 1968 graduate of the same school, is an ex-Marine and is presently awaiting assignment in the Army.
