Pleasant Ridge (17 June 1971)

Mrs. Genevieve Hantke, her daughter, Pauline, and Elsie Wolf plan to attend the wedding Saturday in Menasha of Mrs. Hantke’s nephew, Gary Klapper, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Klapper and Miss Ann Englebretson of Madison.

Bradley and Dennis Zipfel have mumps. They are the first members of the family to come down with the affliction.

Glenn Gerhardt of Madison visited with his mother, Mrs. Martha Gerhardt, at the Theamore vine home on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. George Herbel of Mesa, Ariz., visited with Mrs. Gerhardt Monday afternoon.

Mrs. C. A. Paulson and Joyce went to Madison Wednesday where they visited with Mrs. Willard Smith. They returned home Friday.

Ruth and Al Peot of Milwaukee are spending a week with the Richard Raebel’s. Guests at the Raebel home last week were his parents and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Raebel, Sr., and Herman Raebel, also of Milwaukee.

The Pleasant Ridge Circle of the Neillsville United Methodist Church met last Thursday at the home of Mrs. Delbert Bills. Members continued with their Bible study.

A coin shower was held for Mrs. Gordon Penrod of Tuscola, Ill. Mrs. Penrod is the former Jean Vine, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theamore Vine. The Penrods lost all their possessions recently when their mobile home burned while they were away.
