Schultz, Dale (24 JUL 1924– 29 NOV 2000)

Dale “Gabby” Schultz, 76 Neillsville, died on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at his home, due to ill health for 14 years. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 2, at Buchanan Funeral Home, Neillsville.  The Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiated.  Burial was in the Dells Dam Cemetery, town of Levis.

Dale Schultz was born on July 24, 1924, in the town of Levis, to Guy and Vera (nee Kapfer) Schultz.  He attended Dells Dam School and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1940.  He married Angeline Perushek on June 30, 1948.  She preceded him in death.  He married Gerrie Spiegel on April 23, 1977.  From 1945 until 1948, he worked for Schultz Bros. Construction, and from 1948 to 1956, he drove truck for J.D. Stanton Livestock and Grain, Neillsville.  From 1956 to 1973, he was employed as a traffic officer for Clark County.  From 1969 to 1982, he was a driver for Neillsville Transport Cooperative.  He also sold American Family Insurance, worked at Plautz-Pekol, and hauled Christmas trees for Pierce Tree Farm.  He retired in 1986.  He enjoyed going to rodeos, buying and selling horses, and hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Gerrie, Neillsville; two stepsons, Tom (Heidi) Spiegel, Chili, and James (Debbie) Spiegel, Neillsville; and one grandson, Dylan Spiegel.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Angeline.

Buchanan Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
