Kile, David A. (26 OCT 1949 - 25 JUL 2013)

David A. Kile Jr., 63, Thorp, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Memorial Health Center in Medford. A celebration of life was held at 9 a.m., on Monday, Aug. 5, at Thorp Funeral Home, Thorp.
Inurnment followed in the Town of Butler Cemetery, rural Thorp. Graveside military services were conducted by the Thorp American Legion Post #118.

David Allen Kile Jr. was born on Oct. 26, 1949, in Willard, to David J. and Julia (nee Bergant) Kile Sr. He
received his education at area schools and graduated from Thorp High School in 1969. David enlisted in the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam era from 1969 until his honorable discharge in 1973. Upon his discharge, he attended UW-Stout. He married Sandra Hunziker in 1971 in Norfolk, Va. They later divorced. He then married Brenda Sundermeyer in Worland, Wyo., in 1981 and they later divorced. David returned to Wisconsin and served in the Army National Guard from 1982-93. Afterward, he worked at Courtesy Auto & Truck and Thorp Auto Parts until his retirement. In his spare time, David loved to take walks and enjoy all that the outdoors had to offer.

He is survived by his three children, Gretchen (Hurbie) Harris, Waukesha, Harly Kile, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mitze (J.M. Husby) Kile, Moundsview, Minn.; three grandchildren with one on the way; his mother, Julia Kile, Greenwood; one brother, Wallace Kile, Thermopolis, Wyo.; and other relatives and many friends.

David was preceded in death by his father, David J. Kile Sr.
