Mr. Lacowich received a carload of lumber one day last week. It had already been transferred to his land on Section 11 and a new house will soon be built for the accommodation of himself and son-in-law.

A.L. Clair and wife returned from Chicago Tuesday. They had gone with the intention of having an operation performed on their baby girl, but the specialist advised them to wait a while.

Mr. and Mrs. Altenbern were Greenwood visitors on Friday.

Five men were here from Minnesota one day last week looking over the country with a view of investing. Before they left they all bargained for land near Gorman and will shortly become residents.

Messrs. Ferneau and Syth of Greenwood have finished their hauling and have gone home.

Mr. John Lucas, who recently came from Colorado, has already received a carload of lumber and is busy building a new house.

Harry Hewett and Theo. Meinholdt were business callers here on Tuesday.

Ignac Cesnik was in Fairchild on business last Friday.

G. Samberg has secured the agency for the International Harvester Co.'s machinery and has already received some sample machines.

A.C. Altenbern received a new De Laval cream separator the past week.

Word come from Samuel Daughenbaugh of Iowa that he will load his car and reach Willard with his household goods sometime this week.

Mrs. Almeda Taylor of Lena, Ill., who came to stay at the home of A.L. Clair during the latter's absence, will return home this week.
