Lucile Grashorn was a Loyal visitor Saturday.

Sheriff Bradford was in the city last Thursday.

Earl Tompkins was a Marshfield visitor Saturday.

Mrs. Dave Warner returned to Westboro Saturday.

Walter Glenz and Newman Ashley drove to Loyal Sunday.

Forrest Shanks returned to Sevens Point Saturday morning.

The Ladies Aid will meet with Mrs. Bowen Friday afternoon, May 5th.

There will be a dance at Hemlock Saturday night. Everybody is invited.

Ray Howard left Wednesday for Fond du Lac and Milwaukee on business.

E.J. Rossman and wife spent Sunday in the city, returning to Neillsville Monday.

The German Ladies Society will meet with Mrs. Will Volk Friday, May 15th.

The Thursday Club will meet with Mrs. C.H. Clute Thursday afternoon, May 11.

We want a copy of the Gleaner for Feb. 24. If anyone has one we will be glad to get it.

Brakeman Talford Bee is sick this week. A man from the main line is taking his place.

Mrs. Alfred Kristiansen of Withee and baby came down on the Owen train Saturday morning and visited till Sunday at the home of Alfred's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Kristiansen. Alf drove down after them Sunday.

Mrs. Wm. Thwing of the town of Beaver died Friday, April 28th of consumption, after an illness of ten months. The funeral was held in the Baptist Church in this city Tuesday afternoon, Rev. S.E. Sweet conducting the service. Seven children and her husband are left to mourn.

Atty. Ben Packer of Withee has been chosen secretary of the Wis. State Board of Immigration to succeed A.D. Campbell, who resigned recently. Mr. Packer has been the prime mover in the Institute and Festival Association at Withee, which has done much experimental work in acclimating a variety of corn to Northern Wisconsin.
