Kruger, Jack (23 Nov. 1928-26 June 2013)

Jack D. Kruger, 84, Marshfield, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on July 1, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, Marshfield. Rev. Mike Carlson officiated.

Jack Kruger was born on Nov. 23, 1928, in Loyal, to Gilbert and Helen (nee Kromer) Kruger. He attended the Loyal School system. Jack worked as a farmer and he also drove for a local mobile and manufactured house company. On Sept. 20, 1947, he married Betty Marden of Greenwood. Jack was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Marshfield. He enjoyed driving truck for many years and more recently escort piloting.

Jack is lovingly survived by his wife, Betty Kruger, Marshfield; their children, Pricilla (Corron) Baker, Alexandria, Minn., Kathleen (John) Esgar, Ely, Minn., and Steve Kruger, Marshfield; seven grandchildren, Craig Baker, Chris Baker, Scott Baker; Janelle Fritz, Jennifer Esgar, Lucas Kruger, and Justin Kruger; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard Kruger. He will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Helen; a sister, Jean Loos; and two grandchildren, Jeff Esgar and Brandi Mikkelson.
