Globe (23 Dec 1915)

School was closed last week on account of the illness of the teacher, Miss Kennester, which made it necessary to give up the program which was to be held on Thursday evening.

The Kalsow brothers, Ed. And Frank Grap and the Mitte boys were up back of Tioga Sunday after Christmas trees.

Miss Hattie Fechtner, who assisted Mrs. Fred Schlinkert with her housework for some time, returned to her home at Seif Sunday. She will go to Minneapolis after the holidays to work for her sister.

Wm. Kuenkel, wife and daughter, and Arthur Wegner and wife of Hendren visited at Alb. Hemp’s Sunday.

Mrs. Gus. Grap and daughter, Erna, helped Mrs. F. Grap with the butchering last week.

Ervin Schoenwetter and Alma Dudei were called at Alma Dudei’s Sunday.

Theo. Kalsow has been on the sick list.

Martha Spranger was a caller on her sister, Mrs. Chas. White, Monday.

A crowd of young folks attended the basket social and dance at Tioga Saturday evening.

Ellis Jacklin and lady friend were out for a cutter ride Sunday.
