Miss Patricia Jean O’Brien, Marshfield and William Edward Lindner of route 1, Greenwood, exchanged wedding vows at Christ the King Catholic Church, Spencer, July 17.  Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. James O’Brien Sr., route 1, Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. Anton Lindner, route 1, Greenwood.

Yellow gladioli decorated the church altar for the wedding which took place at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Andrew H. Bofenkamp officiating.

The bride given in marriage by her father wore a sheath gown of silk organza over white faille taffeta and was entrained.  The molded bodice had a square scoop neckline and a set in midriff.  Sprays of floral Viennese lace appliqués trimmed the bodice and skirt front.  The floor length skirt of un-pressed pleats had a detachable Watteau panel from the back neckline falling into a chapel train.

Her veil of illusion in bouffant arrangement was secured to a lace and braid high open pillbox embroidered with tiny seed pearls.

The bride carried a cascade arrangement of white stephanotis, white roses and English ivy.

Miss Paula Davel, Milwaukee served as the maid of honor; Miss Nita Lewin and Mrs. Wayne O’Brien, both of Marshfield and Miss Mary Lindner, Greenwood, the bridesmaids; and Roxanne O’Brien, the miniature bride.

The bridal aides wore floor length formals of crepe chiara with bateau necklines, fitted midriffs and sheath skirts completed in the back by removable lace Watteau trains having bow trim.  Each had a matching cabbage rose headpiece with pearl and crystal trim completed by bouffant veils and carried cascade bouquets of a large yellow chrysanthemums surrounded by pompoms and outlined with camellia leaves.

The miniature bride carried a cascade arrangement of a single white rose surrounded by pompoms and outlined with camellia leaves.  She was dressed like the bride.

Richard Lindner, Greenwood was the best man; David Bushman, Greenwood, Wayne O’Brien, Marshfield and Ronald O’Brien, Loyal, the groomsmen; William Herr, Greenwood and Richard O’Brien, Marshfield, the ushers; and Randall Rueth, the miniature groom.

A brunch was served in the church parlors following the ceremony and the reception was held at Charolais Supper Club, Marshfield.  The supper was served in the church parlors and a wedding dance was held at the Silver Dome.

The bride is a 1963 graduate of Loyal High School has been employed at the Marshfield Clinic as a medical assistant.  The groom is a 1962 graduate of Greenwood High School and is engaged in farming at Greenwood, where they will reside after a wedding trip to New York.
