------ Schraufnagel, Lynda D. S. (30 JAN 1965)

After Feb. 8, Mr. and Mrs. Gary R. Graham will be at home at Fond du Lac.

The wedding of Miss Lynda D. S. Schraufnagel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Schraufnagel of Abbotsford, and Gary R. Graham, son of Mrs. Mildred Graham, Medford, took place Saturday, Jan. 30, at the First Presbyterian church at Abbotsford.  During the 4 o’clock candlelight ceremony at which the Rev. Charles E. Glidden officiated, Robert Lee Benson sang “The Lord’s Prayer” and “O Perfect Love.”

For her wedding, the bride chose a long sleeved and ankle length gown of silk peau de soie with a removable chapel length train.  Appliqued lace outlined the scalloped neckline of the fitted bodice and was also used with pearl trim in the front panel of the skirt.  The four tier all silk English illusion veil was secured to a pill-box headpiece of peau de soie lace with pearl trim.  She carried a bouquet of Talisman roses, stephanotis and ivy.

Street length dresses of emerald green satin were worn by her attendants.  The fitted bodices featured V-necklines, elbow length sleeves and a large bow at the front of the waist and a bow with streamers in the back.  Their matching headpieces were fashioned with a circular veil attached to a crown of fabric flowers with pearl trim.  A single Talisman rose with trailing ivy were pinned on the white muffs which they carried.

Mrs. Karin Schmitt of Abbotsford, as matron of honor, and Mrs. George Thomas of Medford, two sisters of the bride, and Mrs. Donald Stolp of Stratford, a cousin of the groom, were the bridal attendants.

Robert Anderson of Medford attended his cousin as best man and Donald Stolp and George Thomas were the groomsmen.

Tom Seidel of Medford and Herb Mohr of Rib Lake performed the usher’s duties.

About 200 guests attended the reception at the village hall at Abbotsford and the supper served at the church dining room.

The bride, a 1963 graduate of the Abbotsford high school, was employed at Employers Mutuals at Wausau.  Her husband, who was graduated from the Medford high school in 1962 and the Wausau Technical Institute in 1964, is an accountant and is presently employed at the Taycheedah State Prison.  He formerly was an accountant at Tomahawk Savings & Loan Association.

Guests from away at the wedding came from Ashland, Green Bay, Edgar, Elroy, Tomah, Marathon City, Milwaukee, Tomahawk, Oshkosh, Wausau, Colby, River Falls, Menomonie, Glidden, Park Falls, Medford, Dorchester, Owen, Rib Lake, Fifield, Stratford, Withee, Stetsonville, Gilman, Marshfield and Chicago.
