The Adult Fellowship Christmas Party will be held in Immanuel United Church Sunday evening with the Zion church Adult Fellowship as guests. Seventy-five-cent gifts will be exchanged. A planned lunch will be served. Officers are in charge of arrangements.

The American Legion Auxiliary will hold their Christmas Party Monday evening at 8 p.m. in the Legion Hall. Fifty-cent gifts will be exchanged. Members will bring candy, cookies, etc., to pass and pack boxes for shut-ins. Hostesses will be Mrs. Kenneth Speich, Mrs. Richard Syth, Mrs. Leona Syth and Mrs. Peter Scherr.

The “Cooky Swap” club will meet at the home of Mrs. Louis Behrens Monday at 2 p.m. for their annual cookie exchange.

The West Side Homemakers will hold their annual Christmas Party and exchange of gifts; at the home of Mrs. Walter Schwarze Tuesday at 2 p.m. Members will bring Christmas gifts for residents at the Clark County Hospital in Owen.

The Salem Aid Christmas Party will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Zion United Church. Gifts will be exchanged. A potluck lunch will be served.

Calvin Franz has returned home after hospitalization in Marshfield and at the convalescent home there since July.

Miss Grace Caliebe of Norridge, Ill., who teaches in Chicago, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Caliebe, and with her brother, Earl Caliebe, and his family.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Turnquist and Sue, Mr. and Mrs. James Turnquist, Lisa and Arthur, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Turnquist, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Elmer and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Turnquist were entertained Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Turnquist in Pittsville in honor of the birthday of Mrs. Turnquist.

Members of the Dorcas Circle held their Christmas Party Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Louis Behrens.

The Women’s Society of Christian Service met Friday evening at the Grace United Methodist Church. Mrs. Elery Moberg presided. Mrs. Viv Carteron read a Christmas Story. Plans were made for the Christmas Party to be held December 19. Members were asked to bring articles for the Clark County Social Service’s Christmas gift project. Mrs. Clarence (Lucille) Markee will give a talk at 2:30 p.m. A potluck lunch will be served. Guest will be invited to attend this party.

Minnette Jepsen left Friday to visit her sister, Miss Alice Jepsen, in Stevens Point.

Saturday afternoon guests at the Robert Stewart home were Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Thompson of Abbotsford.

The Come and Know Homemakers Christmas Party will be held tonight (Thursday) at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Leonard Olson. Gifts will be exchanged.

The Women’s Guild sponsored a Christmas party at Immanuel United Church Wednesday afternoon for all women of the church. Mrs. Erwin Toburen and Mrs. Emil Noah were in charge of the decorations and entertainment and Mrs. Clarence Liebzeit was chairman of the food committee.

The 88th birthday of Mrs. Emma Reisner was celebrated December 5 at the Clark County Home for the Aged, where she resides.

The Intersee Club was entertained Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Catherine Lindner.

Mrs. Robert Stewart has been dismissed Thursday from Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, where she was a patient since November 3.

Walter Stabnow has moved to Neillsville, where he will reside at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Ampe.

Keith Stewart of Middleton spent a weekend with his father, Robert Stewart, in Greenwood and with his mother at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville. Another son, Robert Stewart of Stanley, visited his parents Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Speich and family of Rockford, Ill., spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Speich and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kind, Sr.

Mrs. Kathryn Ivey and her son, Charles Ivey of Eau Claire, spent Thursday and Friday with another son, Jim Ivey and family, in Neenah.

Mrs. Ella Schwarze spent Thursday and Friday in Arpin at the home of her son, Elroy and his family.
