Neillsville Locals (13November 1969)

Charles Scholtz of Germantown spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Scholtz. Their nephew, Vernon Scholtz of Waukesha, visited them for a few hours Saturday before taking his father Frank Scholz, a patient at Memorial Hospital, home with him for an extended visit.

Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Smitke of Medford visited his sisters and husband, Mr. and Mrs. John Bryan and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Matousek and his mother Mrs. Anna Smitke, who stays at the Bryan home. The latter will observe her 84th birthday today (Thursday).

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Krause and son, Allan, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Horehled. Tuesday they expected to move their trailer from Monroe to Markesan, where he will be employed.

Order of Eastern Star Past Matron’s club met at 6 p.m. last Wednesday evening at the Masonic Temple for supper. Hostesses were Lorena Rude, Gladys Flynn and Elizabeth Crothers.

Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Hantke and daughter, Kristina Kay, of Germantown, spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Hantke. Marvin Hantke, who had been visiting his grandparents, and Scott Sherer, who had been visiting his grandmother, Mrs. Elsie Sherer, since Wednesday, returned home with them.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Klapper of Cecil, who were here to attend the funeral of Hilda (Sylvia) Kurth, spent Tuesday and Tuesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Hantke.
