Mr. and Mrs. John Hiles came home from Milwaukee on
Saturday.
Paul Beck went home to Watertown, Minn. on Monday.
Mrs.
James King came home from her visit at Crandon on Saturday.
Jos. Rondorf
of York went to Stanley on a visit to relatives on Monday.
Miss Birdine
Kihn went home to Park falls on Monday.
M.C. Mertens and Oscar Eberhardt
were Marshfield visitors on Monday.
Miss Lucille Henze is home from
Appleton since Friday.
Miss Alva Thayer came home from La Cross, Friday.
Albert Riedel, Frank Roehl and Chas. Behling, the latter from Chili, all
soldiers in Uncle Sam's Army, were welcome guests at the Christmas dance Tuesday
night.
Ed Riedel and sons came over from Neillsville Monday to visit his
brother Albert, who was home on a furlough.
Mr. and Mrs. Clemens Montag
went to Chili Monday to spend Xmas with their children, and Mr. Montag went from
there to Eau Claire on Wednesday.
Mrs. Ben Langreck and baby Marie Angela
are home from the Eau Claire hospital since Monday. Both apparently are quite
well and happy again.
The Misses Bertha and Emma Hillert were home from
Neillsville to spend Christmas under the parental roof.
Mrs. Gardner
McClaflin and son Merrill came from Arpin Saturday for a visit at Rice Davis'.
Walter Sternitzky came home from Appleton Saturday to spend the holidays
with his family and other relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Gus Bergeman and their
4 sons went to Black Creek Monday on a holiday visit to relatives, and
especially to Mrs. Bergeman's mother, who is quite ill.
Mrs. Gus Hahm is
home from a visit at Chicago, Fond du Lac and Stevens Point two weeks since. Her
husband met her at Stevens Point and accompanied her on the home trip from
there.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weishoff, their son David and daughter Norma
went to Chili Monday on a several days visit at Will Yankee's.
Frank
Roehl and Albert Riedel, two of our boys in the Army, were welcomed home from
Rockford, Ill. Sunday morning. They were on their Christmas furlough only, and
left on the return trip on Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Leland Davis and
daughters Minerva and Hazel came up from Alma Center Saturday for a visit with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rice Davis, and other relatives here.

Schroeder of Route 3 is a patient at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire
since last Friday, when accompanied by relatives and her physician, she went
there very ill with appendicitis. She is now reported to be doing nicely and
well on the road to ultimate recovery.
The Misses Lisetta Lautenbach and
Alvina Schoengarth visited Neillsville relatives on Saturday night.
Lee
Peterson and Leo Grassman spent Saturday night with old friends at Neillsville.
Miss Esther welsh came home from Spokeville Saturday, accompanied by Miss
Mary Kempine.
Beauford Griffin and Carl Strand came home from the
northern woods on Saturday.
The Misses Alfrieda, Norma and Irma Williams
visited Mr. and Mrs. Poate at Neillsville on Wednesday.
Price Berg went
to Marshfield Monday and spent Christmas with his best girl there.
Mr.
and Mrs. John Hefty Sr. went to Chili Monday for a several days visit at their
son John's.
Miss Mildred James went to Marshfield Saturday for a vacation
visit with her aunt Mrs. Frank Bissell.
Geo. Grove of Plymouth arrived
here early this week on a holiday visit to hsi sister Mrs. Geo. Rose and her
family.
Kenneth Hart is visiting relatives at Humbird since Saturday,
when he went home with his aunt, Mrs. Leonard Cole.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed
Jewell and daughters Fern and Violet of St. Croix County are visiting at Lem
Curtis' since Monday.
Miss Gertrude Rogers of Ladysmith, who taught in
District No. 2 in the town of York, went home Saturday for the holiday vacation.
Mrs. Jake Breseman of Marshfield visited town friends Saturday and went home
that afternoon, accompanied by her daughter Miss Adeline, who had been here with
Mrs. Rath for several weeks past.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Beeckler autoed up
from the town of Levis Sunday and visited his parents here until Wednesday.
Mrs. Perry Thayer and sister Miss Rachel Cole went to Neillsville Monday to
spend the Christmas holiday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cole.
Mr. and Mrs. Orren Hickcock went to Spring Green Monday on a week's holiday and
visit to hsi parents.
Rodney Knott, an official dairy tester from eau
Claire, came Friday and remained until Monday, engaged in testing the well-known
Guernsey herd owned by W.S. Davis.
Mrs. Ewald Thiede went o Merrillan
Friday evening and met her sister, Miss Alva Thayer, who was coming home from La
Crosse.
Chas. Cross and family were over from Chili on a several days
visit at the Chas. Hayden home this week.
Robert Bruss of Route 3 went to
Spencer Wednesday on a couple days combination business and pleasure trip.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Bollom, Ellsworth, and Naomi went to Osseo Saturday and
visited at Humbird too, before their return home Christmas night.
