Prokosch, Ruth Emily (Marriage - 27 September 1969)

Given in marriage by her father, Miss Ruth Emily Prokosch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James W. Prokosch, Sr., of Spencer became the bride of Dennis Gary Schumacher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Schumacher of Rt. 5 Marshfield, Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Christ the King Catholic Church in Spencer. The Rev. A. H. Bofenkemp officiated at the double-ring ceremony before approximately 80 guests.

The bride chose a floor-length gown of white lace-over-satin. A headpiece of white lilies, edged with sequins, held her shoulder-length veil. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses and white ‘mums.

Rosemary Prokosch served her sister as maid-of-honor. Mary Wittman of Marshfield, cousin of the groom, was bridesmaid. They wore floor-length gowns of aqua chiffon, with lilies-of-the-valley on the front of their aqua headpieces. Each carried a bouquet of yellow and bronze ‘mums.

David Schumacher, brother of the groom, was bestman. The bride’s brother, David Prokosch, was groomsman.

A reception was held at the Colby Tavern in Unity.

The bride attended Spencer High School. The groom, a 1969 graduate of Spencer High School, is employed in Stratford.

On their return from a wedding trip into northern Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Schumacher will reside in Marshfield.
