A 22 year old Athens area girl, who was to be married in July and a town of Little Black man were killed early Sunday evening in a two car crash on a town road on the Clark-Taylor line, west of highway 13.

The victims: Miss Dianne Marie Metz, 22, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Metz, town of Bern, Marathon County and David Lee Habermeyer, 25, town of Little Black, Taylor County.

Miss Metz was a passenger in a car driven by her fiancé, Allen Jochimsen, tow of Little Black when it collided with the Habermeyer auto 2 miles west of highway 13, in the town of Mayville, Clark County.

Authorities reported that Jochimsen, a patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, is in serious condition as a result of back and head injuries. Habermeyer’s wife, Donna, 23, is being treated for fractured wrist, cuts and bruised at Memorial Hospital, Medford. Her condition was described as satisfactory.

Authorities reported that the southbound Habermeyer car and the westbound Jochimsen car met at an intersection of town roads.
