Pernsteiner, Janet Marie (Marriage - 6 September 1969)

Miss Janet Marie Pernsteiner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Pernsteiner, Jr., of Rt. 1 Granton and Franklin Michael Boh, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Boh of Rt. 1 Neillsville, were united in marriage at 12 o’clock noon, September 6, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. The Rev. George M. Nelson performed the double ring ceremony.

Gladioli and ‘mums decorated the altar. White star burst ‘mums and pink carnations marked the pews for the 300 guests.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, selected a floor length gown of sheer organza over taffeta. The bodice, embroidered with appliquéd lace and sequins, featured an empire waistline and a scoop neckline. The short sleeves of double lace had a scalloped border and a dusting of sequins. The A-line skirt was also appliquéd with sequin studded lace, and a long, sweeping, lace-trimmed train flowed from the full shirred back. A small pillbox of organza and Alencon lace with double bow at back, trimmed with pearls and crystals, secured the nylon illusion, chapel sweep, double veil and double elbow length veil. Pink streamers tied with stephanotis flowed from the bride’s round colonial bouquet of pink and white roses and stephanotis.

Mrs. Leroy Lezotte of Neillsville was matron-of-honor, and Miss Janice Pernsteiner of Granton was made-of-honor. Miss Cindy Pernsteiner of Medford, Mrs. Charles Eberhardy of Marshfield, Mrs. Tom Pernsteiner and Mrs. Joe Pernsteiner, III, both of Granton were bridesmaids. They donned floor length gowns of pink chiffon. The long sheer sleeves, ending in a pleated ruffle, and the high ruffled neckline, were banded with Venise lace, a band of which also defined the length of the gowns. Three dainty chiffon bows set off the modified empire waistlines that flowed into A-line skirts. Their floor length bouffant veils were attached to a headpiece of triple organza petals centered with a cluster of floral sprays. They carried reed basket filled with pink roses, white starburst ‘mums and baby’s breath scattered with stephanotis.

Leroy Lezotte of Neillsville was bestman. Wayne Kuhl of Granton, Thomas A. Krall of Milwaukee, Charles Eberhardy of Marshfield, Tom Pernsteiner and Joe Pernsteiner, III, both of Granton, were groomsmen. Ushering duties were performed by Keith Marg of Neillsville and Harlan Schnabel of Granton.

Flower girls were Kathy and Carol Lezotte and Sue and Shelly Pernsteiner. They wore gowns identical to the bride’s attendants, but pink satin, double bows forming their head covering.

Mrs. Glenn Short presided at the organ and St. Mary’s children’s choir sang.

A 2 p.m. wedding dinner was given at the Bali Hai Supper Club followed by a reception with 300 guests in attendance. A wedding dance was held at the Silver Dome Ballroom.

The bride is a 1969 graduate of Granton High School. The groom, a 1964 Neillsville High School graduate, is engaged in farming. Following a wedding trip they will reside on Rt. 1 Neillsville.
