Luzinski, Delores (15 AUG 1964)

St. Mary’s Church, Lublin, was the scene for the Saturday, August 15th wedding of Delores Luzinski and Sylvester Lewan. Rev. A. Matla performed the ten a.m. service.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Louis Luzinski, Thorp, and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Lewan, Dublin.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a chapel length bridal gown of Chantilly lace and nylon over tissue taffeta. A scalloped Sabrina neckline with long, traditionally tapered sleeves accented the fitted bodice. A bouffant skirt of nylon over tissue taffeta was enhanced by a nylon angle bow at the back waist, with streamers that pointed up the chapel train. She chose an over-the-forehead halo of pearlized orange blossoms which held her veiling. Her bouquet was of white carnations and yellow roses.

Kathy Szemraj, cousin of the groom, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Knusta, friend of the bride; Darlene Szemrag, cousin of the groom, and Pat Shewczyk, friend of the bride. They wore street length sheaths with floor length overskirts. A scoop neckline, with three-quarter length sleeves accented the bodice. A slim skirt was covered with a petal overskirt which fell to the floor. They wore crowns of pearl arches that held their blush veils, and carried cascade bouquets of mixed fall colors of carnations.

Bill Sweda, friend of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Robert Ness, also friend of the groom, Louis Luzinski, brother of the bride, and Elmer Lewan, brother of the groom. Ushers were Joe Krzyzanski, uncle of the bride, and Ray Lewan, brother of the groom.

A dinner and supper was held at St. Hedwig’s Parish Hall.

The bride attended Thorp High School and is a dairy worker at Foremost Blue Moon. The groom is self-employed.
