Schaade, Henry (? JUL 1844 - 23 JUN 1914)

The funeral of Henry Schaade and his 12 year old grandson, who were killed in a storm Tuesday night, at their home near Abbotsford, will be held tomorrow at the family residence.

Meager details of the accident have been received by relatives in Sheboygan Falls, where Mr. Schaade formerly resided.

He is survived by a son, William and a son-in-law at Sheboygan Falls.

Double Funeral at Abbotsford

Further word has been received by William Schaade of Sheboygan Falls concerning the tornado which struck Abbotsford, and killed his father, and a niece ten years of age early Wednesday morning.

It seems the house was wrecked also the barn, and he elder Mr. Schaade met instant death.

Mrs. Fred Schaade, mother of the little girl who had her life crushed out, sustained a broken arm and several bruises about the body.

Her husband received severe injuries also three of his children.

The funerals of Henry Schaade and his grandchild were held today at Abbotsford, Wis.

Note: First notice of death indicates the death of a grandson. The second notice indicates the death of a grand-daughter. Burial location of Henry and grandson/granddaughter are unknown at this time.

The 1900 Federal Census indicates his wife’s name as Annie. Henry’s birth information is listed as July of 1844.

Publish date of the Sheboygan Press was June 25, 1914 (Thursday). The news accounts mention the tornado and deaths occurred on Tuesday, June 23, 1914.
