Kenneth Nitz, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Nitz and son of Alvin Nitz of Eau Claire, recently made headline news in the Boise Tribune for his second successful parachute jump, landing within three feet of his designated target. This is rather outstanding, as Kenneth has been taking skydiving lessons for only about four months. He finds it a very thrilled sport. He has made his home at Boise, Idaho for the past two years, where he has been a technician for the Veterans Hospital at Boise, but because of the illness of his wife, he will return to Chippewa soon, as she is being transferred to the Veterans Hospital at Tomah.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brandt returned home Sunday from a week’s trip through Canada with their daughter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Kline and children of Minneapolis.

The following people are helping Mrs. Art Brandt celebrate her birthday at the Bart Brandt home Friday evening: Don Brandt, Eau Claire, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Manier, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ulrech, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Brandt, Mrs. Anna Paap, John Brandt and Otto Pearson.

Mrs. Chas. Nitz returned home last Tuesday after being hospitalized at Victory Memorial hospital for eight days.
