Ogurek, Lucille (18 JUN 1907 – 11 AUG 1964)

Mrs. Lillian L. Ogurek, 57, who died at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls following a lingering illness on Tuesday, August 11, was buried from the St. Mary’s Polish Church in Lublin Thursday. The Rev. Anthony Matla officiated at the last rites starting at 10 a.m. and burial was in St. Mary’s cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Steve Losiewicz, Steve Sheweczk, Albert Skaleski, Walter Ruda, Walter Syzmoniak and Jess Bandor.

Lillian Malecki was born on June 18, 1907 in the town of Withee, the daughter of Louis and Mary Malecki. At an early age, she lived in Milwaukee, then on several farms in the Thorp and Lublin areas, settling in the city of Thorp nine years ago.

On October 9, 1926, she was married to Al A. Ogurek in Chicago, Illinois.

Left to mourn besides her husband are two sons, Edwin of Elk Grove, Ill., and Clarence of Morton Grove, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Henry (Gertrude) Nowobielski, Thorp, Mrs. Richard (LaVerne) Swanek of Chicago, Ill., and Pat Ogurek at home; one brother, Louis Malecki, Jr. of Thorp; three sisters: Mrs. Walter (Anna) Wargolet, Milwaukee, Wis.; Mrs. Tony (Irene) Ratiaczyk, Chicago, Ill.; and Mrs. Mike (Lottie) Lukasiewicz, and sixteen grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary Malecki; one son, Leonard; two brothers, Barney and Stanley; and a sister, Jean.
