JOHN NIELSEN MARRIED IN WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA

St. Bedes’ Catholic Church, Williamsburg, Va was the setting for the June 20th marriage of Miss Betsy Rose Martin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Martin of Williamsburg,and John F. Nielsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nielsen, Withee.

The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Vernon Bowers and the music was furnished by Mrs. Garrison of Williamsburg.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a dress of white peau-de-soie fashioned with portrait neckline, Chantilly lace bodice and long sleeves ending in wedding points over the hands.

The couple were attended by Miss Sharon Strode of Williamsburg as maid of honor and Miss Toni Martin, sister of the bride, as junior bridesmaid. William Porte of Camp Peary, Va., served as best man and Larry Martin, brother of Camp Peary, were ushers.

A reception was held at the bride’s home and was attended by over 50 relatives and friends from Williamsburg, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Illinois and Wisconsin.

Mr. and Mrs. Nielsen are making their home at Williamsburg where Mr. Nielsen is stationed with the U. S. Army.
