GRANTON.

Mrs. J. Redmond of York was a visitor at Mr. Butler's. W. D. Davis is running the blacksmith shop for Paul Heyder. Albert Davis has shipped his fine white oak logs to Manitowoc. Dan Rausch has moved to Longwood his many friends wish him well.

Ferdinand Reichert is pulling in a $200 ice box to keep the meat in summer.

Mr. Warner of York is staying with his father-in-law, Mr. Lapp, for a week.

P, J. Kemmeter is running his mil day and night. Emil Krause is superintending the night crew.

Our postmaster M. Tomkins has moved down from Maple Works and is now settled in the Rausch house.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. W. Storm a son, to Mr. and Mrs. F. Gardner a girl and to Mr. and Mrs, Gus Reich a son.

S. Gerbach was in the village last Saturday night and enjoyed a pleasant evening with Mr. Hamler. They are old friends.

Mrs. Rausch and baby visited friends In Marshfield Tuesday. She expects to stay till everything is arranged in their new home.

Math Marx moved on his farm last Monday, he expects to build a solid brick residence this year, the foundation will be of stone.

Ralph Pullis and crew expect to leave the Hiles logging camp and return to Dexterville next week. He reports a very fine season's work.

Dave Kline returned to Thorp last Monday morning. His little son who has been sick with pneumonia for some time is slowly recovering.

Dr. Curtis? who was contemplating taking another course of studies In May, will have to postpone his trip for a few weeks owing to his professional engagements.

The carpenters are hard at work on Mr. Ebbe's machine shop. John Ebbe himself is also helping them, they expect to have the frame work up by the first part of next week.

A pleasant surprise was given Mrs. Marx last Saturday the occasion being her birthday. She was presented with a handsome rocking chair; the party thoroughly enjoyed themselves and returned home early Sunday morning.

The Methodist minister from Lindsey was a caller in town Wednesday visiting his church members, A service is to be held next Sunday afternoon at 3 p, m. at the Wind Falls church, after next Sunday the services will be held in the evening. All are invited.
