"Our Angel has winged her way to heaven"

Laura C. Neville, 22, Wausau, died on Monday, October 16, 2006 at St. Joseph's Palliative Care, Marshfield, after fighting a valiant battle against cancer.

Laura was born on February 16, 1984 in Ashland, to Richard J. and Sharla (Tuszka) Neville and resided in Drummond, until 1988. She then lived in Marshfield and attended Spencer School through 7th grade. In addition to participating in school activities, Laura worked at the family business, the Charolais Supper Club. She attended DC Everest School, Wausau, from 8th grade, graduating in 2002. While at DCE she played volleyball, was on the school newspaper, in Clown Troupe, and active in the volunteer group for community events. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the DCE High School Bowling Club and in her Junior and Senior years of high school, the girl's team took third and fourth place at the state high school tournament. She also assisted with the Badger State Winter Games with speed skating. Laura attended North Central Technical College and was in the Criminal Justice program. Laura worked in a variety of jobs in Wausau, many times working two and three jobs at a time. Her employers were: Grand Avenue Auction House and Antique Mall, Hollywood Video, Yonkers, Sunglasses Hut, Zales, and her current employer CellCom in the Wausau Center Mall.

Laura was a people person and her schooling and jobs enabled her to meet people from all walks of life. She loved people and she loved life. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, biking, swimming and hanging out with her family and many friends. She also took pleasure in drawing, painting, sculpting and appreciating works of art.

Laura is survived by her parents, Richard and Sharla (Tuszka) Neville, Marshfield; a brother, Wade and his fiancee Daniele Dvorak, Marshfield; a sister, Lana (Jassim) Mohammad, Kuwait; and her grandmother, Eleanor Neville, Neillsville. She is also survived by aunts and uncles, Bill Neville, Brenda and Vern Garagiola, James Neville, Terry and Jackie Neville, Rodney and Shelly Neville, Bob Neville, Dallas and Rebecca Neville, Larry and Frances Syck, and Don and Mary Steinnes. Laura enjoyed spending time with her numerous cousins and their families.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Frank and Olga Tuszka and her paternal grandfather William Neville.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 20, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Rembs / Kundinger Funeral Home, Marshfield, and on Friday from 10 a.m. until service time at Our Lady of Peace Church. The burial will take place on Saturday at 12 p.m. at Drummond Cemetery in Drummond.

Laura was a very special young woman and touched the lives and hearts of many people. The family wishes to thank all the people who have prayed for Laura throughout her medical problems, especially three young women who went out of their way to set up a wonderful benefit for Laura, Sarah Langhoff, Katrina (Kat) Peontke, and Laurie Green. Even though Laura could not be there she felt the love of all those who attended. Thanks to everyone who helped and supported Laura in any way.
