Whittenberger, Jade L. (22 Apr. 1970 – 14 Feb. 2009)

ATHENS -- Jade L. Whittenberger, 38, of the town of Rietbrock, Athens, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2008, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. today at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford. Visitation will be at the funeral home today from 4 p.m. until time of services.

Jade was born April 22, 1970, in Minneapolis, Minn. He was married Sept. 13, 2008, to Linda Schlais.

He worked for Push Inc. of Rice Lake installing fiber optic cable around the country for 17 years until poor health forced his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Whittenberger, of Athens; and three children, Tony Marunowski, Venus Hryniewiecki and Troy Whittenberger, all of Ladysmith. He is further survived by his parents, Loleta Gundt of Athens, and George (Cheryl) Whittenberger of Isle, Minn.; and his brothers and sisters, Lisa Miller of Stetsonville, Bill Whittenberger of Withee, Doug, Jennifer and Shain Mueller, all of Minneapolis, Minn.
